Abu Dhabi school buses must record the number of times they slow down or stop at an intersection with a stop sign. The sign is clear and there are plenty of witnesses to the situation so this can be used as evidence in future.
With the aim of improving upon Dubai roads and expanding the network, the Traffic Department is also working to make Abu Dhabi roads safer by installing CCTV cameras on buses to specifically monitor wrong-way/ accident-prone vehicles.
